Two new Sony LS-Series DVD Players offer a minimalist but sophisticated look that will co-ordinate with other components in the Sony range.

Sony DVP-LS755 DVD Player

The Sony DVP-LS755 (DVPLS755) DVD player features a simple, but effective slot-in disc loading mechanism. The DVP-LS755 supports playback of a multitude of formats, including DVD-Video, DVD-RW/+RW, DVD-R/+R, SVCD, VCD and also CD. A 12 bit/54MHz video DAC is incorporated, and a comprehensive range of outputs are provided. The Sony DVP-LS755 also features Precision Cinema Progressive for PAL/NTSC Progressive Scan for steady, flawless playback and outstanding picture quality, 6 Disc Multi Disc Resume and S-Video, component & digital optical outputs.

Sony DVP-LS785 DVD Player

Joining the LS design range later in the year will be the Sony DVP-LS785 (DVPLS785), offering the additional benefits of a 12 bit/108MHz Video DAC, Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 channel output. Furthermore, the Sony DVP-LS785 will feature multi-channel Super Audio CD playback and a Multi Disc Resume capability of 40 discs.

New Sony F-Series Model

The slot in disc loading mechanism featured on the LS range can also be found on a new F-Series model, the DVP-F35. A successor in a line of flexible, vertical (and horizontal) standing Sony DVD Players, the F35 offers Precision Cinema Progressive, along with S-Video, component and digital optical outputs.

Sony DVD Player Now Support MP3 & Jpeg playback

All new Sony DVD Players offer JPEG and MP3 playback, and feature an easy to use contents browser, which allows quick and easy access to pictures or music tracks. The two features can also be easily combined to create a picture slide show with background music, simply by placing an MP3 file within the JPEG folder.

The DVP-LS755 and DVP-LS785 will be available from May 2004 and September 2004 respectively.

The DVP-F35 will be available from August 2004.
