New Sony Cybershot DSC-T2 is blog-enabled and stores up to 40,000 digital photos

The latest Sony digital camera, the DSC-T2 (DSCT2) features "Sharemark" - a new technology that makes it easier to upload your favourite photos directly to blogs and image-sharing web sites.

A generous 4GB of internal flash memory offers enough space to store around 1,250 images at the highest quality setting. At VGA resolution (640x480) there’s capacity for over 40,000 images so you can use the DSC-T2 as a digital photo album too. Shots are automatically indexed and arranged in albums, making easy to track down a particular picture even if you have thousands of photos stored on your DSC-T2.

Two more interesting features of the Sony DSC-2 are Face Detection, that can spot faces in a scene, and Smile Shutter that only releases the shutter when the subject is smiling (not much use if you're taking pictures of a miserable mate).

To ensure high quality photos, the Sony DSC-T2 digital camera features Sony Double Anti-Blur technology, a Carl Zeiss 3x optical zoom lens, 8.1 effective megapixel resolution and high-speed BIONZ image processing engine.

The DSC-T2 comes in five colours – black, blue, green, pink, white.

  • 8.1 effective megapixels with BIONZ image processor
  • Large 4GB internal memory with Album function
  • 2.7-inch Clear Photo touchscreen LCD
  • Sharemark technology and Picture Motion Browser Portable software for easy blogging and web uploads
  • Full HD output and PhotoTV HD display mode
  • On-screen ‘scrapbook’ photo arrangements
  • Double Anti-Blur with Super SteadyShot optical image stabilisation and high sensitivity (ISO 3200)
  • All-metal body with high-fashion colour finishes
