The new stylish Sony DVP-F35P DVD Player offers maximum versatility with either vertical or horizontal installation.
All three new Sony DVD Players derive their superior picture quality from progressive scan technology, making them ideal components for a home cinema system.
“We find that customers continue to choose Sony players based on superior picture quality and functionality,” says John Anderson, Director, Home Audio Video Europe. “These latest Sony DVD players offer something special in design that is matched with pioneering technologies to deliver the best possible viewing experience.”
Getting the best picture quality from your DVD Player
The step-up Sony DVP-LS785V derives its exceptional picture quality from Sony’s Precision Cinema Progressive technology, creating crisper, cleaner images whatever the source material. Precision Cinema Progressive uses Pixel-by-Pixel I/P Conversion technology. The system detects whether objects on the screen are moving, and by how much, and processes each pixel with the appropriate algorithm. The results are superb video images that give sharpness to both still and fast moving objects alike. Jagged edges on diagonal lines are virtually eliminated thanks to V-Edge Compensation, and an extra crispness is derived from its Super Sub Alias Filter, which improves the signal-to-noise ratio and frequency response.
Cinema Progressive gives super clear picture on compatible TVs and Projectors
All three of these new Sony DVD Players include Cinema Progressive features, and when connected to LCD or Plasma televisions as well as projectors with progressive scan input capabilities, they deliver super clear pictures.
Versatile playback
DVD’s are made for sharing, and this new range plays a diversity of disc media for enjoying movies, still pictures and music from CD’s or downloads. These include DVD-Video, Video CD, Super Video CD and Data CD with MP3 or JPEG data and the writeable/rewriteable media such as DVD-RW, DVD+RW, DVD-R, DVD+R, CD-R and CD-RW. Moreover, the Sony DVP-LS785V offers high-quality surround sound through Super Audio CD multi-channel playback.
Designed for living
Sony has further developed its signature minimalist design, combined with cutting-edge technology, to create a top quality home viewing experience from players that fit into any home scheme or lifestyle. Their quality finish and sleek styling look beautiful in a contemporary home as part of a home cinema set-up, yet they are simplistic enough to look good in any environment such as the bedroom or kitchen.
The Sony DVP-F35P throws away the rulebook on positioning a DVD player, as it can be installed on its side or horizontally in the conventional way depending on the owner’s preferences and available space. This new level of versatility makes the player ideal for connecting to flat TV’s in smaller spaces, such as desk top.
The European launch dates for these players are as follows:
- The Sony DVP-LS755P is available from July 2004
- The Sony DVP-F35P is available from August 2004
- The Sony DVP-LS785V is available from September 2004
