Sony will be adding a new QS model to the top end of its DVD Player range, in the shape of the DVP-NS955 (DVPNS955).

The new Sony DVP-NS955 will incorporate all the features you would expect in a top end Sony DVD Player, including Precision Cinema Progressive, multi-channel Super Audio CD playback, Dolby Digital and DTS 5.1 channel output. Combined with Sony’s high quality QS components, the Sony DVP-NS955 offers a superior and outstanding video and audio experience.

New Sony DVD Players Now Support MP3 & Jpeg playback

All new Sony DVD Players offer JPEG and MP3 playback, and feature an easy to use contents browser, which allows quick and easy access to pictures or music tracks. The two features can also be easily combined to create a picture slide show with background music, simply by placing an MP3 file within the JPEG folder.

The DVP-NS955 will be available in October 2004.
