The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T5 (DSCT5) digital camera combines style, size and superior performance and boasts a 5.1 effective Megapixel Super HAD CCD, a large, bright 2.5 inch Clear Photo LCD screen, Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x Optical Zoom lens, with a super-slim body featuring a vertical design unique to the Cyber-shot DSC-T5.

The Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T5 digital camera is perfect for taking pictures whenever, wherever you are. Although amazingly slim (only 15.3mm at its thinnest point), the Sony DSC-T5 has many easy to use features that make it the perfect choice for basic and advanced users.

You are assured of excellent picture quality with every shot thanks to a 5.1 effective Megapixel Super HAD CCD. The DSC-T5 has a large 2.5 inch Hybrid Clear Photo LCD screen allows you to view your subject, frame your shot or view your pictures easily in any light conditions, including direct sunlight. The large LCD screen is also ideal for clearly viewing your MPEG video clips, or still photos via the slideshow function, for fast, fun and easy sharing of memories.

Within the slim aluminium metal body of the Cyber-shot DSC-T5 is a powerful, high quality Carl Zeiss Vario-Tessar 3x Optical Zoom lens to ensure crystal clear shots, no matter how closely you zoom in on your subject. Its folded path system means that the lens and prism are contained within the body of the DSC-T5, to maintain its sleek profile. If you need to zoom even more, no problem: the DSC-T5 features a 6x Precision Digital Zoom, 12x VGA Smart Zoom to help you view subjects near and far. The Magnifying Glass mode enables you to shoot subjects as close as 1cm, and to view subjects 3.5x larger than actual size on the LCD screen. With the 16:9 shooting mode you can even shoot wide-screen images for playback on your wide-screen TV.

Worry-free shooting is a reality with the Cyber-shot DSC-T5's 32MB internal memory. Now not only can you shoot and store pictures on an optional Sony Memory Stick Duo™, the internal memory allows the user to be safe in the knowledge you will never miss a great photo opportunity again.

Effortlessly stylish, small and light enough to drop into a pocket or handbag, the Cyber-shot DSC-T5 is as at home in a nightclub as it is on the beach, in the park or at a black-tie event. Whatever the occasion, there is bound to be a suitable setting to capture it amongst the ten pre-set Scene Selection modes, including Twilight, Snow, Fireworks and Beach functions. Just choose your preferred mode: the shutter speed and exposure has all been pre-set for worry-free and convenient shooting. Combine this with the 2.5m flash distance (1m more than the Cyber-shot DSC-T33), and the built-in tripod mount (a first for T-series Cyber-shot) and you're guaranteed great shots every time.

Always ready

Battery performance isn’t a problem for the Sony DSC-T5 - with its improved Sony STAMINA technology, you can take up to 240** shots on a single charge of the InfoLITHIUM battery, an increase of about 33 per cent more shots than the Cyber-shot DSC-T3 and DSC-T33. To keep up with the shooting ability the DSC-T5 offers, its Real Imaging Processor provides a very quick camera response time. If you do run out of power, just charge it up again with the supplied battery charger.

Greater Appeal

The Cyber-shot DSC-T5 digital camera also features PictBridge, the standard for printing directly to photo printers, such as the Sony DPP-FP50. A greater range of optional accessories further extends the appeal of the new Cyber-shot DSC-T5, including a new Sports Pack for underwater shooting and a selection of stylish just-fit cases providing protection when on the move.

Your language

Sony has increased the choice of local menu languages to a staggering 15 on the Cyber-shot T5, another great solution to ensure easier operation. Menu languages now include: Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hungarian, Italian, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish.
